At Laser Light Connection we do not have our
clients step on a scale nor do we measure the waistline. We
promote a common sense approach to losing pounds and inches.
We will provide you with both eating and exercise suggestions
to help you be successful. Each person is different so what
works for one person may not work for another. You will begin
with 3 treatments and as you recognize improvement you may
want to continue with several more treatments until you reach
your goal weight.
Low level laser therapy is not a magic treatment program.
There are goals to set and steps that you as a client will
have to take to lose weight and improve your health. Hopefully
the following suggestions will help you to stay focused on
your healthy living plan.
Suggestions:
Setting the right goals to try to lose weight and improve
your health is the first step. Dietary and exercise changes
will lead to long-term weight
reduction. Take aim on goals that are 1) specific, 2) attainable
and 3) forgiving. For example: "Exercise more"
is ideal. "Walk five miles everyday" is specific
and measurable but is not attainable if you are just getting
started. "Walk 30 minutes every day" is more attainable,
but what if you work late or it's raining? "Walk 30 minutes,
five days each week" is
specific, attainable and forgiving, it's a great goal. Get
the idea?
Drink a lot of water each day, if possible 64 ounces.
Eat foods that are healthy -- whole grains, beans, brightly
colored fruits and vegetables, low-fat milk and lean meats.
Cut down on foods that are high in added glucose and fat;
like sodas, candy, chips and fried foods. You don't need special
diet foods to stay healthy. Use
common sense.
It is important to try to eat three small meals and if needed
add a healthy snack in between.
If you are so inclined keep a record of your daily food intake
and timing of your meals.
It is better to eat smaller portions more frequently than
to skip meals and bulk up when you finally do stop to eat.
Timing can be an important factor. Eat breakfast, even if
you are pressed for time. Get something healthy into your
body to start your metabolism
for the day. Try to avoid eating heavy meals or unhealthy
snacks before you go to bed.
Don't worry about slip-ups, everyone slips up when they are
learning something new. Remember changing your lifestyle is
not going to happen overnight
it is a process.
Celebrate your accomplishments by doing something nice for
yourself that does not involve food.
